Erotismo, elegância e sutileza no cinema.
Há algum tempo venho querendo escrever sobre o prazer que tenho tido ao ver o erotismo sendo tratado de uma maneira, na minha opinião, mais elegante e sofisticada em algumas produções audio visuais recentes. Isso acontece na contramão de uma exposição super sexualizada dos corpos no mundo pop, sobretudo musical. Veja os clipes mais populares do momento e você haverá de concordar comigo.

Não sei como funciona pra você, cara leitora. Mas cresci com uma frase que ouvi de um amigo da minha mãe, que ficou carimbada no meu cérebro:
"A posse é o túmulo do desejo"
Ele me falou isso quando comecei a arriscar os primeiros passos nas aventuras amorosas, na tentativa de me fazer entender, já na largada, que aquilo que você possui, deixa de te interessar. A equivalência disso no assunto desse post seria a seguinte: quanto mais facilmente você me mostra seu corpo, seu erotismo, seu sexo, provavelmente menos interesse eu vou ter por ele. Essa lógica funciona pra mim.
É por isso que tem sido uma enorme satisfação ver cenas que revelam o erotismo em camadas, em takes menos explícitos, mais sutis e nem por isso menos excitantes. Ao contrário. É no que as cenas sugerem, ao deixar de revelar, que a imaginação e a antecipação trabalham.
Não acho que seja coincidência alguns dos filmes que chamaram minha atenção recentemente nesse sentido terem sido dirigidos por mulheres.
Jane Campion e Maggie Gyllenhaal
E não é que mulheres sejam pudicas, ou que apenas gostem do sexo romântico. Mas talvez porque quase sempre que se explora explicitamente o corpo em cenas de sexo, o corpo explorado é o feminino, eu tenha desenvolvido com o tempo uma certo desinteresse por essa maneira de mostrar o sexo.
A cena que traz o sexo sem takes óbvios requer a compreensão do desejo, a verdadeira nitroglicerina das relações.
Três filmes chamaram minha atenção nesse sentido, dois deles dirigidos por mulheres.
O primeiro, O Ataque dos Cães, de Jane Campion, diretora do igualmente acachapante O Piano, traz um thriller em que um fazendeiro durão trava uma guerra de ameaças contra a nova esposa do irmão e seu filho adolescente.
A rudeza desse homem é contrabalanceada por takes em que somos postos como voyeurs de uma sensualidade solitária, tão flamejante quanto reprimida. Ou flamejante justamente porque reprimida.
Benedict Cumberbatch em cena de O Ataque dos Cães
O segundo filme que me chamou a atenção é A Filha Perdida, escrito por Elena Ferrante e dirigido por Maggie Gyllenhaal.
O filme fala sobre o impacto da maternidade na vida de uma mulher, com uma franqueza que apenas recentemente começamos a ver no cinema mainstream. Dentre tudo que se perde, ainda que temporariamente, quando se tem filhos pequenos, o filme fala do sossego para o prazer erótico, além do desejo pelo parceiro de uma rotina exaustiva.
Em dado momento há uma cena em que um desejo lancinante fica absolutamente claro para o expectador com o take de apenas uma mão acariciando o peito de um homem. A carga erótica que há ali é explosiva. Não havia nenhuma dúvida sobre o desejo daquela mulher por aquele homem. E havia apenas uma mão acariciando um tórax.
Por fim vou falar de um filme dirigido por um homem, o Desobediência de Sebastián Lelio.
Este filme trata de teias amorosas no seio de uma comunidade judaica ortodoxa e retrata o amor, obviamente reprimido, entre duas mulheres.
Mais uma vez a máxima de que "a posse é o túmulo do desejo" opera pra fazer com que o desejo entre essas duas mulheres, belamente encenadas por Rachel Weisz e Rachel McAdams, seja incandescente.
Na cena em que elas finalmente fazem amor, nenhum seio, nenhuma nádega, nenhum pelo pubiano é mostrado. Nada. Uma cena de amor lésbico que seria um prato cheio para um diretor homem explorar a favor de um ponto de vista voyeurista masculino é elegantemente retratada sem perder nenhum grau de temperatura pela não exposição direta dos corpos dessas mulheres.
A conclusão é: celebremos. Novos ares parecem estar chegando no que tange à retratação da sensualidade e mesmo do erotismo nas telas do mainstream. Nada contra o explícito, quando é ele que a gente busca. Mas sutileza faz bem e nada como deixar um pouco de espaço pra imaginação trabalhar.
